Elizabeth Barton is among the invited artists for Creative Talks series hosted by the Pumphouse Theatre, which continue throughout 2024.
A small appreciative audience attended her talk given on the 20th of May, with the host Mags Delaney in the role of interviewer. Poetry videos provided a backdrop to the discussion and was followed by questions from the audience.
Dirty Dusting was staged by the Te Aroha Dramatic Society last November. It was a great way to end the year 2023. I was invited to provide the introduction voice over for the play!
Waiting for the Golden Age Art Exhibition
A new art exhibition by Elizabeth Barton is now showing at the Whitaker Gallery in Te Aroha, located at 138 Whitaker Street. The show is a fascinating collection of imaginative and diverse works, many centred on the idea of a coming Golden Age.
The idea has captured the artist’s imagination since she was young and shaped her belief that a Renaissance in the arts would occur in the future. That time is approaching.
The exhibition will continue until the 2nd of June 2023.
